Blogs are easy things to put up and yes you will get some traffic even if you just add a few articles to it. But as for making money from your blog well that is a point for discussion. I know there are many successful blogs being run out there in the blogosphere but I for one do not find it easy to generate lot of cash from my blogs. Maybe I am just not a good enough blogger or I am in the wrong “niche” I don’t really know.
To monetize your blog nearly all the successful bloggers advise you to put adds or affiliate links on your blog so that you can generate revenue. Ok having done that the grand total in my adsense account is about $10. so unless you know what you are doing with adsense then you won’t make a lot. I have been lucky with clickbank and made a sale that was for a membership site so I now have a total of $180.00. “Clickbank” are not very good explaining things on their site and I have now found out that to get my money I need 5 payments from 5 different credit cards before I can get paid. On their site as it is explained it sounds like 5 payments and not 5 different payments. So now after waiting 6 months I still cannot get my money until I get another 5 payments from different cards.
Whoops there’s me going on about Clickbank and straying of the topic there. Right back to making money on your blog. You can also try pay per post which means you get paid for righting posts or Amazon to sell goods and there are lots of others. Just “Google” it and you will get a list.
Just lately I have been trying the autoblogging plugins such as Automated Article Poster and WP Robot . Putting automated content on this blog has made my Alex rank drop a lot so now I will be going back to doing my own posts. Saying that I think automated content can work and that WP Robot is one of the better plugins for this .and at a deals they offer it is good value for money.
So to make money you have to
1 Know what you are doing
2 Be in a good “niche “and have good keywords
3 Have a good amount of traffic
4 And give your readers good content preferably written by you.
That is my experience of blogging so far. After nearly a year I have learnt a lot of things, yes I did make some money but not enough to blog full time. I will continue trying until I hit the right formula for making my blogs successful. I do not have any intention of giving up. Please do not believe the claims of a lot of marketers who say you can make 1000,s. with a blog that is stupid talk. It is not easy and will take a lot of hard work and can be very frustrating but eventually things will fall into place.
