What Is High-quality Website Traffic And What Kind Of Traffic Is A Waste Of Cash?

There are a lot of distinct strategies to obtain website guests to your site. If you are not keeping track of your results, you will never understand what is first-class website traffic and what is a waste of cash. Even if you do mainly no cost advertising methods, you are putting in your time and need to get the greatest return back for the amount of hours which you are spending.

One point I found useful to recognize what great website traffic is, is to install the Google Analytics code on every one of my website pages. This provides a sensational amount of information about the visitors which are coming to your site.

For instance, you recognize where a guest arrives to your website from, how long they stay on your site, how many pages they pay a visit to, what country they come from and much, much, more.

Here’s why this information is extremely beneficial.

You’ll see ads all over the Internet where you are able to purchase 10,000 site visitors for $30. Most of these are not worth the $30 you pay for them and I’ll tell you why.

If you have Google analytics on your pages you will see that the average time which these kind of paid guests will stay on your website is less than five seconds. Now that may not be true for each company like this, but you can do your own survey and see if this is even remotely similar to quality traffic or not. You definitely don’t want the kind of individuals that only remain 5 seconds on your site.

On the flip side of that, traffic that comes from the search engines should stay anywhere from a minute to 2 minutes on your site if you’ve provided a decent web page for them to look at. The rationale for this is you’re receiving targeted traffic via the search engines and you’re receiving non-targeted traffic from buying thousands of visitors. Search engine traffic is targeted since the visitor is already typing in a keyword phrase that is related to the theme of your website.

You can see the same results in a variety of other types of traffic also. For instance, traffic which comes from a well compiled article may remain two to 3 minutes on your website and go to see more than one page. In that situation, it is worth writing a good article and getting it on some of the top article directories.

Other methods of promotion which do create quality traffic include forum marketing, and social bookmarking a blog post. I know I can declare this for a fact because I’ve viewed firsthand the results for this traffic.

You need to establish what is high-quality website traffic for you. The quantity of traffic is not near as essential as the quality. In the end you are looking for encouraging responses from your guests and a quality caller will provide you more of those.
