Viral marketing
Viral marketing can be a great way to get yourself known on-line if done well but it can also be a complete nightmare if it is used against you.
Viral marketing is all about the buzz or to put it another way word of mouth. It is a way of getting people to talk about your product, service or site.
To get viral marketing right you should harness the power of the networks. This is when one person tells their friends about some new product, service or post on a blog and then they tell some one else and so on.
To be successful in viral marketing there are 3 things you need to do,
1 Create something
2 get that product, service etc out to people
3 encourage them to pass the information on.
You have to have something of value to pass on to people
Social Viral marketing is not just about videos and tell your friends info it is more about manipulating the social media such as in Digg where you vote for the best stories to make top. Now people are using “Share this” links but there are companies that will pay people to vote for certain stories.
Viral marketing will always be around it can be annoying, offensive or down right dangerous but most of the time it is funny and even inspiring

I agree with you. Social viral marketing is not all about videos. There are lots of ways to drive traffic to your websites such as Digg, Propeller, etc. You want to drive more traffic to your websites? I do internet marketing for small local businesses to promote their products or services. I really appreciate your great tips. Thanks and keep it up!
